I visited Legoland in Billund during the summer 2006. Here is a
selection of pictures from Miniland
(and two from other parts of
Legoland).
Typical wooden Swedish houses along a canal.
The habour in Bergen, if I remember correctly.
Open air market. Notice the large selection of T-shirts for sale.
Wind mills. One might suspect that Legoland is sponsored by Vestas.
Typical North Sea fishing boat. The ship in the background is an off-shore supply ship for an oil-rig.
Scotish fishing village.
Notice the flowers (roses?) growing all around the door of the house.
Houses along the Göta canal in Sweden.
Some cattle has escaped. - Or where has the fence gone?
The three figures walking along the pier are Olsen-Banden
, some rather famous Danish criminals. The harbour is
modelled on the one in Copenhagen.
A German river or canal town.
An advanced lock with three side reservoirs. I like the old-fashioned, open ones more, but it is quite impressive.
These two canal elevators lift river barges up and down between the two sections of the canal.
On this shipyard they repair and construct traditional North Sea fishing boats.
Danish fishing town.
Where I lived before, the flamingoes were actually wild and alive flying over the city. Here they are just static models. - But some very pretty ones.
That's me (on the right).
